What is Wild Strength & Conditioning?

Based in Otaki, Wild Strength & Conditioning is focused on making you the strongest, fittest, healthiest version of you possible.

Wild Strength & Conditioning is for everyone no matter your age, ability or whether you are a beginner and advanced athlete. We all start somewhere and there is always new things to learn and achieve.

We believe in form and technique first. It is vital to get your movement patterns correct first to ensure safe movement before increasing the load. This in turn will set you up to live a healthier life and help you avoid injuries that life might throw your way.

We practice Constantly Varied, Functional Movements performed at High Intensity

So what does that mean??

  • Constantly Varied - We vary rarely do the same workout twice and every day will be different. This keeps your body stimulated and avoids reaching plateaus in your training. It also keeps things exciting, there is always something for you to strive to get better at.

  • Functional Movement - Movements you do in day to day life. Learn how to pick something up properly, Push, Pull, Squat and move your body how it is supposed to move safely and correctly. Functional movements include, Body weight movements, Gymnastics, Weightlifting & Monostructural movements (Rowing, Running, Riding)

  • High Intensity - The thing most people freak out about, but high intensity is specific to You. You might not be the fittest or fastest in the class but if you are hitting your own personal 100% then that’s all we ask for. It doesn’t matter if you are last or 2nd, if you are giving it everything you can at the given task this is all we ask and this is where the magic happens.

Community

The last piece of the magic puzzle is the community. We complete all our workouts together as a community. We are more than just a gym, we are a group of like minded people that will keep you honest, keep you pushing and help you achieve your fitness & life goals.
